Our Belief
SuniKids Dream Ltd believes that no child should face a serious or life-threatening illness alone, and no family should bear the burden of these struggles without community support.
Created through heartache
SuniKids Dream is deeply personal for Sam, one of our directors. After the heartbreaking loss of her son Kristopher to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in December 2002, she dreamed of creating an organisation that would provide support and comfort to families navigating the challenges of living with a child with a serious illness. Sam’s dream is now a reality. Together we can make a difference and make dreams come true.

Sam
My name is Samantha, and I am truly honored to serve as one of the Directors of SuniKids Dream Ltd, a newly established charity that holds a very special place in my heart. The vision for SuniKids Dream has been in my heart for many years, though I never imagined it would actually come to life.
In July of 2000, my son Kristopher was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). For 18 months, he fought with incredible courage and strength. Unfortunately, on December 14th, 2002, he lost his battle at just 10 years old. That day broke our hearts and forever changed the course of our lives .
Having experienced firsthand the pain and challenges of caring for a seriously ill child, I understand the toll it takes on both the children and their families. It is this personal journey that led me to create SuniKids Dream – with the hope of supporting other families who are walking this difficult path.
I want to take a moment to thank my dear friend Kylie, whose love, support, and encouragement were instrumental in bringing this dream to life. I will forever be grateful for her dedication and friendship.
At SuniKids Dream, our mission is simple – to inspire seriously ill children to continue dreaming and to remind them that Dreams Really Do Come True!!
With love and gratitude, Samantha

Katherine
Hi, I’m Katherine.
I am mother to three beautiful sons, and Veterinary Surgeon.
When my middle son, Kai, was just two and a half years old he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). This devastated our family, and resulted in three and a half long years of treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria.
Thankfully, we were one of the very lucky families whose child survived, and he is now a thriving, healthy teenager.
However, the pain and trauma of this time in our lives will always remain with us and has had lasting effects. We will always carry with us the memories of so many beautiful children who were not so lucky as our boy.
I’m looking forward to helping grant dreams for sick children, in order for them and their families to create some joyful memories in what is otherwise a truly horrible time.
